When you install the SEOpilot AI app, we may collect the following data:
Store & Merchant Information:
- Store name, domain, email address
- Owner/merchant name and contact details
- Shopify plan type and currency
- Access tokens (used to interact securely with your store)
Store Content Data:
- Product titles, descriptions, images, and tags
- Collections, blogs, and meta fields
- SEO settings and site structure
Optional Integrations:
- If connected, we may request limited scopes to integrate with Google Search Console or Google Merchant Center to retrieve and display search-related performance data.
We
do not access, store, or share customer or order data from your Shopify store.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data solely to provide and improve SEOpilot AI’s features:
- AI-generated meta title and description optimization
- Image ALT text suggestions and compression
- Page speed scoring and SEO health analysis
- One-click SEO issue resolution
- Auto-optimization of new products and media
We may also send product reports or service updates to your registered email address.
3. Data Storage & Security
Your data is securely stored using industry-standard encryption on verified cloud infrastructure. Product images temporarily processed for compression or resizing may be stored securely in our cloud but are never sold, traded, or reused.
4. Data Sharing Policy
We
do not sell, rent, or trade your data.
We may share limited data with third-party services (e.g., OpenAI for content generation) only when essential for the app’s functionality. All third-party vendors are GDPR/CCPA compliant.
We may collect anonymized usage analytics to improve app performance and user experience.
5. Your Rights
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
- Request export of your store’s SEO data generated via SEOpilot AI

6. Data Retention
We retain your information as long as you are an active user. Upon uninstalling the app, your optimization history and stored tokens will be deleted unless required for legal compliance.
7. Children’s Data
SEOpilot AI is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in-app and/or communicated to you directly via email. Continued use of SEOpilot AI after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
